In general, what did you like and dislike about the film? This movie have a diferent theme, It´s in the same context from the others but the focus was in this group of journalist and the experience of being in the middle of a conflict, I really enjoy this movie, it´s kind of Hollywood movie, the journalist here are shown as rockstars, I tried not to focus on the social conflict, but on the experience that the film tried to convey, I like the feeling of constant danger in which the characters were exposed. I liked the characters, they were all defective, with internal conflicts, vices and conflicting personalities, I think that such an approach is more accurate than the idealization of the characters .   How does the film make you think about your future role as journalists and film makers/producers/creators/directors? It is interesting that the film raises a series of questions about the role and social responsibility that communicators have. In essen...

1. Who was your favorite character from the film? Why? My favorite character was the old man who lived near the border, his old car was very funny and without him our hero would not have been able to escape. I also liked the character of Woods, I think that although, as in many other movies with racial themes, the character seems to claim the whites, it is difficult to realize your privileges and do something about it. Putting your family, your position, your own life at risk to change the situation seems to me to be a truly altruistic act. 2. What was your favorite scene from the film? Why? My favorite scene was the final chase, the cleverness that shows Woods and his family, his disguise as a priest, the tension that our protagonists do not manage to flee, was exciting. I also liked Biko's funeral, the contrast between his miserable death and his funeral as a martyr of the revolution. 3. How does the film differ from the other films?  Use the article from The Guardian t...

1. In general, what did you like and dislike about the film? first of all, I loved the locations and the production, after several related movies I have been familiarizing with the scenarios, the houses, or the detail of the fire truck, it is that kind of things that generate a coherent reality. I like the way in which the character is built, although we know that it is based on the real life of Chamusso, the plot is built in a great way, the protagonist's refusal to enter the conflict and his call to fight is something powerful to see. I like the development of the characters and the scenes of torture or the persecution in the factory are really intense. 2. Who was the character you like the most and the character you liked the least in the film? Why? My favorite character was Nic Vos, you always need a good antagonist character, in this case, without Nic there is no story, because thanks to their actions are those that move the motivations of the protagonists. c In ...

1. In general, what did you like and dislike about the film?  I really like the film, is an emotional story, the characters have strong personalities, but  but it is clear that they are also human, therefore, they are able to react naturally to events, even considering the cultural environment in which they are, the characters are not treated with flat personalities, but they are learning to throughout the movie and grow as human beings. The two most important lines of action within the film are two: Friendship and language, are usually a little secondary elements in any film, but here are the basis of the story, friendship is beautifully retracted, as a force that it remains in the memory and that it is inherent to the human being, like the language, both are a unifying force, that if they are applied, they will be bridges for the understanding. 2. Who was the character you liked the most and the character you liked the least in the film? Why? I think the most inter...

Film Review of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom

1. In general, what did you like and dislike about the film? Usually when I see Idris Elba is in a action movie, like The dark tower or Thor, so, at the beginning was weird to me see him in a political role, but I have to admit that He really surprised to me. I only see the Nelson Mandela character in the movie with Morgan Freeman, so I thought that Mandela was always a peaceful leader, see him like a real person, feeling anger, with radical strategies makes me think about the authenticity in every character, in the real life people isn't perfect, I really love the journey of the character to become the real leader of a divided country. 2. In your own words, how would you compare the "various Mandelas;" the ones from the article and the one from the film? I imagine that when you becomes a public figure, you never be yourself again, when o many people believes in you, is it common that you doesn't show you real face. I don´t think that a "real Nelson Mand...
